REGISTER BY DECEMBER 1st!!
*Any K-5 students in the Glendora Unified School District
*Players will compete against others at or near their grade levels.
*Arrive in the Sellers cafeteria by 12:45pm. The event will conclude by 3:00pm.
*Family and friends are encouraged to attend the tournament. Spectators might be permitted to watch games from afar.
Reasons to participate:
-Free to current Chess Institute students, $5* registration fee for all others.
-All students will receive a participation ribbon. Other awards such as medallions will be awarded.
-The winning school will be named the Glendora Chess Champion, and will receive the traveling trophy!
-This event will develop 21st Century Skills such as Critical Thinking, Creative Thinking, Communication, and Collaboration.
-Tournament will be held on Tuesday, December 5th at Sellers Elementary
