Success Through Chess
Enter the exciting world of chess! This course is designed to bring a challenge to all players, from beginner to expert. To advance through our leveled curriculum, students learn new tactics progressively: from skewers to endgames and far beyond. Higher level students will work towards playing chess blindfolded! Our professional chess educators will help everyone achieve “Success Through Chess!"
Material Covered: We have a comprehensive program appropriate for all
students, who will progress at their own rate. Instruction includes the critical
principles, tactics, and strategies as well as “Success Secrets” applicable both
to academics and to life!
Goal of Club: To instruct in principles that will help the student improve in
chess, as well as develop life skills that will aid the student in academics,
sports, arts, and future success. All the while, a fun an exciting environment
will be maintained.
Time: Wednesdays 3:15-4:15
Eligibility: Open to students grades K-5
No Class: March 11, March 25, April 8

Open to students who are interested in developing their minds for success in school and life! We have a comprehensive curriculum developed by Former U.S. Scholastic Champion, Andrew Svehaug. The class is appropriate for all students, who will progress at their own rate.
