Because measuring each student’s growth in Chess is a powerful way to identify transferable strengths.
Most of the methods for measuring the 4 C’s in K-8 education are problematic:
- Critical Thinking tests require a certain degree of proficiency in reading.
- Creative Thinking instruments are often extremely subjective.
- Communication and collaboration assessments are presented with the challenge of measuring practical skills.
- All of these tests are generally time-consuming and expensive.
Success Through Chess is a superior way to measure the 4 C’s, as it is objective, quantitative, efficient, and affordable.
Students receive a level, which corresponds to their development in all of the 3 crucial chess variants:
- Traditional
- Speed Chess
- Chess Doubles (Bughouse)
As all of these chess variants requires different skills for success, our program is an effective way to discover student’s unique strengths in a manner that is readily understandable to every student, teacher, parent, and administrator!
