Please register your student under the school they attend
REGISTER BY April 12th!
*Any K-5 students in the Upland Unified School District
*Players will compete against others at or near their grade levels.
*Arrive in the Citrus cafeteria by 8am. The event will conclude by 12:00pm.
*Family and friends are encouraged to attend the tournament. Spectators might be permitted to watch games from afar.
Reasons to participate:
-Free to current Chess Institute students, $5* registration fee for all others.
-All students will receive a participation ribbon. Other awards such as medallions will be awarded.
-The winning school will be named the Upland Chess Champion, and will receive the traveling trophy!
-This event will develop 21st Century Skills such as Critical Thinking, Creative Thinking, Communication, and Collaboration.
-The tournament will be held on Saturday, April 14th at Citrus Elementary
