Glendora Unified Chess Tournament!

REGISTER BY DECEMBER 4th!

*Any K-5 students in the Glendora Unified School District

*Players will compete against others at or near their grade levels.

*Arrive in the Sellers cafeteria by 2:45pm. The event will conclude by 5:00pm.

*Family and friends are encouraged to attend the tournament. Spectators might be permitted to watch games from afar.

 

Reasons to participate:

-Free to current Chess Institute students, $5* registration fee for all others.

-All students will receive a participation ribbon. Other awards such as medallions will be awarded.

-The winning school will be named the Glendora Chess Champion, and will receive the traveling trophy!

-This event will develop 21st Century Skills such as Critical Thinking, Creative Thinking, Communication, and Collaboration.

Open to students who are interested in developing their minds for success in school and life! We have a comprehensive curriculum developed by Former U.S. Scholastic Champion, Andrew Svehaug. The class is appropriate for all students, who will progress at their own rate.
